Who We are

 

We are a non-profit organization of area residents dedicated to helping our neighbors make funeral arrangements that are dignified, meaningful and affordable.

The FCAVBR is a part of the national Funeral Consumers Alliance, a nationwide nonprofit organization with no attachment to the funeral industry, cemeteries, or any religious group.

 

Our sole purpose is to help you make informed end-of-life decisions. 

Core Values

ACCOUNTABILITY

We are the equivalent of Consumer Reports for the funeral industry.

We are your funeral consumer advocates; researching, insisting and holding funeral homes and cemeteries accountable for accurate and transparent price listings.

COMMUNITY

We serve residents in the counties of Montgomery, Roanoke, Giles, Floyd, and Pulaski; cities of Roanoke and Radford. We have information and members from Abingdon to Richmond and beyond, but we will help anyone!

We give consumer education and outreach, including group presentations, printed materials, personal consultations, and up to date local price surveys.

COMMON CAUSE

Join us and help others plan for the inevitable. Help make conversations about death a part of life. Come to our meetings, be an advocate, or just know that your contribution makes a difference. Our membership is open to all. The FCAVBR is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
